CATS - Magnaflow

I might need a new cat....
Need to debug further. Sensor was changed about a year to 18 months ago.

For those who have changed your cats, anyone using Magnaflow ? Looked at past threads. Did not form a general consensus if I'm asking for issues with 3rd party cats

If you find a CAT that's certified for use in California, it should be good for a long time. I understand that you are not using it in California, but the California Air Resources Board (CARB) has stringent requirements for certification, one of them is that they work well and last a long time.

What makes you think you need a new one? And, there is a sensor both before and after the CAT, are you responding to the right one with the repair action you are proposing?

Hey,

I had some oil burning due to a wrong Oil Separator hoses connection and back then was getting aging O2 sensors codes, catalytic converters performance below threshold etc. Never got those back once oil hoses were placed correctly.

Is your CCV working right? What engine BTW?
