E53 zhp 3.0 swaped turbo this is happening

I had to cut vents into the hood for the intercooler
and here's a pic of the new engine before I installed it.

This is great. But how the hell is it going to fit?
I always figured you would have to dump the turbo output down and forward into an intercooler, because the frame rail is in the way--and the throttle body is clear on the other side of the engine bay.

Is that an internally gated turbo?

I've been down under there a lot lately and the space always put me off this.

Charge pipe clears the chassis up and over the engine into intercooler.

This is totally hacked together... and I love it! This is one of the nice things about the depreciation of the e53. You can afford to totally frankenstein one if the mood strikes you. Loving this so far.

You must go to e46fanatics.com. There is a whole wiki on tuning ms43, plus all the software to do it.

That's amazing. Top mount IC is WRX extra credit.

How about a snorkel out of the passenger fender?
