Strange issue..
No clue where to start as the MAF can't be the only reason. I'm going to pull the MAF off the other X and see what happens then but if anyone has ever had this happen please let me know what you had to do, because right now all I've got isn't even a W.A.G. Sent from my SM-A730F using Tapatalk

Sounds like a loose cable causing a voltage problem. The error lights you mention won't clear with basic scanner but usually will clear after driving if the error that causes them clears.
Pull up the voltage reading and do the hood slam again but try it softly first. Soft close happens again : somehow the alarm switch or an out of place wire is the problem. Only happens when slammed: loose wire getting shaken. An open or short on a critical operational wire like CPS will kill the engine which will shut off the power and can cause any sort of error. I don't know what to say about what happened to you. But, why did they check the hood?

Thanks Andrew. I'll try it.
As for the checking under the hood it's to look for car bombs or my personal opinion just to look at the magic of the internal combustion engine... ![]() Sent from my SM-A730F using Tapatalk

The MAF for sure can be sensitive to vibration especially if it is on it's way out. Incorrect MAF readings can also explain the o2 code.

The roads here are grade A shit and I've had to replace rims that cracked from potholes while driving 30-40 kph. Does the alarm switch also act as a safety and shutsdown the engine in case the hood comes open when driving? ![]() Sent from my SM-A730F using Tapatalk

dropping the hood, driving over pot holes, or hitting the side of the car with a sledge hammer are all 3 completely different vibrations. Alarm switch doesn't really fit in with codes or engine only dying when slamming hood.

I would open and close the hood gently to confirm not hood switch related then with the hood open slap some wires around until you find the gremlin. It has to be a wire that is shorting out or opening up.

Yes, further isolation between the hood switch causing a problem vs. just a hood slam causing the problem would help.
Also, BTW, the engine should idle perfectly with the MAF disconnected, so that may help troubleshooting. If you disconnect the MAF and it won't idle, there is a problem somewhere.
