Trifecta on dash not on codes...?

So, today while driving through an area of Riyadh where foreigners fear to tread my dash lit up with the trifecta. I stopped and even though the X ran fine I started downloading my codes and sweet baby jesus I had 0, not even my 02 heater on bank 1 like usual. I cleared the codes anyway hoping that all would be right in the world all while sitting there feeling like I was in a fishbowl. Well guess what? No change.. X still ran great but cluster stayed in you are screwed mode. Battery is fine and the only thing was the air temp hit 126f and I had a code 2 days ago about thermostat having a possible error (future) because temp showed 97f while just having been started 5min earlier, but hell 97f is a cool nighttime temperature, so I blew it off and just kept an eye on it and it cleared on its own.

I am hopeful that someone has had the trifecta, yet thrown no codes and has an answer for me since over here taking the X to the stealer gets you an additional skin tax on foreigners and my regular mechanic is at a different base working on AWACS till the 12th.

Does your scanner work with abs?

Check your hidden menu voltage when driving. One blip will give you trifecta.

Is the word brake red or yellow? If red low fluid.

If not voltage then next most likely it's an abs wheel sensor. If you can remove the bolt is easy to remove and clean and reinstall. If some rust gets in there it can throw off the sensor

Brake red, but fluid is full.
ABS yellow (nothing on hidden menu)
OBD2 is run by torque hawk

I love German mechanical systems but if I run into the German that designs the electrical systems I swear I'll slap them so hard their crack will run the other way.

Ps.. Don't know if it's a factor with the trifecta but that temperature "110f" is correct @08:30 local and the fuel guesstimater bounces all the way from 0 liters per 100km to 20 liters per km (but only while driving) semi new issue.

The red BRAKE is a heavy clue. That is not abs sensor etc related. The only two things that I remember off hand to make it red are low fluid and hand brake. Check for a stuck switch or bad wire.

This does all sort of seem voltage related, especially with the other odd readings you are seeing. If the battery and alternator check out as OK maybe it's time to look at the IVM?

I don't think there is no code, rather your OBD2 reader cannot read ABS codes.

Ok. I found it. I think.... wire that I tapped for stereo (switched) pass side under dash port was nicked near stereo chassis on the metal tray/plate by vent hoses, cluster loom goes under bar and juice was hitting fuel usage loom causing spikes and tripping trifecta.

All that is supposition unless it's cured then I did find it, only for the cost of a few scratches and lots of help from the forum.

Imagine my sigh and possible happy tears.

Hard to blame Der Corp's electrical engineering for that one!

Hope it's sorted...
