Do any of the Ebay 4.8 spoiler kits actually fit an 2001 4.4?

Been thinking about adding a 4.8 spoiler kit like this one from Ebay for my 2001 E53 4.4i . There cheap and come from Latvia mostly.

Can I assume with a good body shop it will fit as they say it will?

Who knows. It has a compatability chart at the bottom of the listing and says it in fact does fit. but IMO every body kit needs a tug and a pull if its made for multiple model years and styles.

Just an FYI...you do know that the front chin spoiler from the pre face-lift 4.6is can give a similar look and all you need to do is paint and then have it adhered (professionally) to the button of your existing bumper (pre facelift & facelift 3.0 & 4.4 e53 X5s).


If you're not familiar with what the 4.6is front bumper/fascia looks like...just do a simple google/internet search for the 4.6is to see how similar it is to the slightly more complex 4.8is front bumper fascia:
