Engine problem

I dunno what it is, but while driving slowly, the engine feels weird. Like when at slower speeds(0-30), the engine "jumps". Like today, after driving around for a bit, while parkling, the engines rpm went up like it jumped up for a sec, i didnt move my leg.. What could it be.. It wasnt in sports mode or anything.

Not sure what year X5 you have, but some people that have had that issue needed a transmission software upgrade.
