Testing PDC Sensor

Fellas,

how does one go about testing these PDC Sensors.

i was in a front end collision few months ago. i ended replacing the front bumper and PDC sensors on the passenger side. But every time i turn the PDC on or put the car in reverse, i hear a 3 sec beep sound and PDC light flashing. The sensors aren't working

Can i test the sensors or connection with a multimeter?

Help!
Thanks...

The best way to determine any faults would be to use a professional level scanner like INPA or BMW Scanner 1.4. In a pinch, you can turn the car on and press the PDC button to activate the system and place your hand over each sensor listening closely. You should hear a faint clicking coming from operational sensors. Obviously any faulty sensors will not give any clicking feedback.

I do recommend scanning the PDC system and it will tell you exactly what is wrong.

Did you listen to all the sensors? Do they all click when you put your hand over them?

I am assuming you plugged the front PDC harness back in correctly when you replaced the bumper? You should be able to pull the right front fog light and check the harness is plugged in properly.

Don, just go out and listen to them. If any of them click I doubt the connection is unplugged. If in fact none of the 4 click, then maybe the connection is in play. At least determine which one(s) are not functioning.
