Hi all, my X5 E53 2005 4.4i heating is not working. I suspect it is the heater control valve under the bonnet. I live in an area where I dont really need the heater. Do I really need to replace this unit if I dont need heat? or will it cause issues elsewhere?
thanks James |

I'd be more concerned the thermostat is not working. I drove for months never achieving closed loop. Get a prepare scan/scanner. Mine will show me real time data for both sides of water valve and the heater core temps.

Thanks for letting me know. I just happened to purchase a scanner some time ago. I will give it a try and let the forum know.
cheers |
