There’s a sliding pipe kit that needs removal of the intake manifold. Or there’s a stent kit that slides inside the pipe and plugs the front leak. It won’t fix a rear leak.

The stent is the one I used for my leak. Worked great. Just take your time and prep the area correctly. PREP IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS. Sand it smooth.

For future readers, to access this hose for replacement you do not need to remove the intake manifold but you do need to remove the air intake system and throttle body (4 easy bolts), once removed it is all right there and easy to work with

But you are talking about a smaller hose/pipe and the others are referring to the large pipe in the valley? Not the same thing... ?

The Bimmerfix solution mentioned is for the large pipe in the valley - and that DOES require removal of the intake manifold.

I cited a specific part number for the hose I was referring to, it's #7 in the thread that i linked

Yep - I got that - but it seemed like others (in this thread and your other thread) assumed you were talking about the maim water pipe in the centre of the valley. Different beast!

I only commented so that others reading this thread in the future were clear about your comment regarding the lack of need to remove the intake manifold. I'm sure many folk who have had tackle the main pipe wish like heck they didn't have to remove the manifold!

Sorry for making it more confused that it already was!

Glad you got it sorted, BTW, and that it was a simple fix for you. I'm actually bruised from my last maint. session on mine...
