Angry Center Console Armrest squeaks/creaks/rattles

Ok, I've had enough of this damn center console armrest making all types of annoying noises. Can't figure out what part it is exactly.

Nothing is broke or lose, I don't have the phone system, it has all the proper trim inside, even the lid has the rubber stoppers.

When I rest my arm it or just look at it funny it squeaks and creaks and as I drive around even on smooth roads it makes noise.

The only way to stop it to apply pressure with my elbows but that gets tiring quick.

Anyone deal with this before?!

Check out your vent connection inside, you might find it's loose at the bend.

Cloth or felt tape in places where the plastic rubs (take the bin out and apply it to underside) should help

there was a recent post where the creaking and rattling was cured with the soft side of velcro tape, similar to the roof window rattle fix. My wife's car will squeak a horrible fright but only when i put my elbow on the arm rest, seems opposite of you.

Yeah mine makes noise by itself if I don't rest on it. If I do, it still does but it's reduced.

I tried putting microfiber towels just to test and didn't help but I didn't think of removing the tray/bin out and putting something in between.
