Water in rear quarter panel -Fixed !!
First thing I did was check all the water outlets on the tail gate but they were fine. So I took a jug of water and poured it on the truck with the rear door open and let it run down the channel by the weather seal and over the lights. It seems the bolt that holds the little adjustable stoppers for the rear door was hand tight !! The water was dripping right from there, so I took a 32mm ( I believe it痴 a 30 but I didn稚 have one) and tightened it up! Voila the leak is now gone !!! I値l probably changed the runner seals on the outside of it next week. I値l attach some pics later

Nice work. On my 2001, I originally had a major problem back there due to the sunroof drain tubes contracting and disconnecting themselves.
But then I had very minor but persistent problems back there. Through extensive troubleshooting, I eventually found that most of the holes in the channel surrounding the rear hatch leaked just a little. Removing and reinstalling with a little silicone caulk made things water tight again.

I was coming here to ask about this. I have damp carpet in the left rear storage compartment. I purchased new tail light seals thinking that was the problem but the old ones look basically BRAND new and there is no trace of water having slipped in right there.
I did upgrade to the springy bump-stops a couple of months back. You think that could be the issue? the wet carpet is confined to the bottom of the rear storage compartment where the amp and phone wiring harness it zip-tied.

Sunroof drains (both at the sunroof itself and at the top of the hatch area), lights, everything inside the rear hatch (bump stops, etc.). Assume it could be anything. When I was first looking, I too saw many reports of the lights being leak sources. But mine were fine.

I'm baffled on this one. I replaced the tail light seal yesterday. pretty sure that wasn't the issue. poured a gallon of water directly on the bump stop apparatus. ZERO leakage. I poured water on the sunroof and all down the rear hatch channel. nothing. window seals. nothing.
I pulled out the carpet piece and neatly laid some paper towels in the area that's getting wet. i'm going to wash it today and see if I can get it wet at all i'll hit it hard with the hose with RINSE selected on the sprayer and hit all the seams, tail lights etc and report back.
