my diver side door...

I've seen and read the article on fixing frozen door locks. I was up in the pass snowboarding and my driver side door would not open...however when I got back down to warm weather...it still is broken. Is that how I would go about fixing it(fixing frozen door locks)? did something break? do I have to remove the inner door panel to get to it and if so how do i do that.

thanks for the help guys...getting in the car from the rear is not only a pain...but its shamefully ghetto given the make of the vehicle.
