5EB0 - Steering-Angle Sensor, Internal

Model: E53 3.0D
Year: 2004
Error Code: 5EB0 - Steering-Angle Sensor, Internal
Problem: DSC lamp always on

I have tried to clear the code with a C310+ but the DSC lamp remains solid and the code returns after the next restart immediately.

Tried the soft reset by locking the steering wheel left and right for two cycles.

I am just purchased a BMW INPA K+CAN Ediabas K DCAN Interface Fwith Switch FT232RL Chip K DCAN USB Cable and want to try and calibrate the sensor through a PC connection.

If this fails then I think I am out of option's and will need to get it checked out by an indy.

Any help or advise would be great!!!
