Passenger window issue

I need some help repairing my passenger window

The passenger window stopped working and is all the way up. Pressing the switch makes an audible click (sounds like the relays are working) but the window doesn't budge!

I opened the door and provided power directly to the motor... no reaction so I think it is safe to assume the motor is dead. I have ordered a replacement regulator + motor, my question is how do I go about replacement with the window in the up position?

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers,
Nik

There are lots of videos on replacing the window regulator.

Every video or replacement article I read starts with lowering the window, which I can't do.

Maybe cut the cable to let the glass down so access the fasteners.

I did exactly that, couldn't find any way to access the motor to somehow wind it down manually and save the regulator.

Thanks for the idea

You also could have tapped the motor while you applied power and that probably would have got it working again. Sorry I didn't say that before but I guess you had replacement regulator on way anyway. Cheers!

Already tried that during my motor diagnosis!

Either way the window now works again, now to solve all the other little issue the PO hadn't fixed
