FCP - Another THUMBS Up

Ordered some stuff on a late Friday.
Figured it would just get processed on Monday.
It's not Amazon afterall - where prime get's stuff to my door 2 days, next day, sometimes even SAME day

Anyhow, those fine folks must be working like Santa's overtime and it was picked up today from the fine folks at UPS TODAY .

Can't have enough positive things to say. CS is great for those oddball times I have dealt with thm !

I have used them for years and always great service. Last order got all messed up somehow at their end. They told me it had been upgraded to make the delivery deadline and forgot to tell UPS. I let them know and the parcel arrived the next day and they ALSO refunded my S&H charges. Really great service like this is hard to find.

FCP is in CT so if it’s in stock even if you use economy shipping it will arrive in 1-2 day. Can’t beat their lifetime warranty.

LOVE FCP. Been using them since 2006 when they were called FCP Groton. They HAVE messed up my past two orders. Sent me an electric Volkswagen water pump instead of the auxiliary water pump I ordered. Also sent me a set of aluminum Audi control arms instead of the tension strut bushings I ordered. In both cases, the parts they sent me were worth multiples of what I ordered. They appreciated me letting them know and overnighted the correct parts both times.

I asked them why they messed up my past two orders. They said it's growing pains. They are apparently growing so quickly that they have a lot of new folks in the warehouse.

Lifetime warranty is awesome though. ESPECIALLY lifetime OEM windshield wipers, brakes and suspension parts. I have no idea how they make that business model work but I am not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth.

Pro tip for you guys... though you probably know it already if you are familiar with FCP. Log in to your account and do your shopping and add it to cart. Then leave it in the car for a few days. You'll get one email urging you to check out because your cart will expire. The next one will have a code for 5% off. I do this EVERY time I order from them. Has saved a decent amount on large orders, certainly hundreds over the years.

I got my flamesuit on. Regarding the lifetime fluids....I value how currently FCP operates on the parts coverage, pricing and customer service. I want them to be profitable to remain in business. Personally, I don't see myself ever taking them up on the fluid warranty, but to each his own.

I've noted this too and thought it was just a onetime thing and I was randomly selected. Thanks for the tip

I concur wholeheartedly and while I will take them up on the windshield wipers and brakes, I honestly feel a little weird about it. I wouldn't do it all if they didn't wholeheartedly encourage it.

my hunch is that while some people take advantage of this situation, the majority of folks very well may end up getting rid of their cars before the warranties might be cashed in.

What I do find myself doing is always looking THERE first, specifically because they offer these warranties. that's probably what they want. because now I order anti-freeze and PS Fluid and all sorts of other stuff that I will never really need warranty coverage for and would otherwise pick up at Amazon or elsewhere.

Personally I will never return used oil or fluids. I've always felt a bit of 'guilt' RMA'ing something that is still functional, but just didn't meet expectations. For example...floor mats. This is one I've been struggling with. The BMW all weather floor mats I got from FCP have been GREAT functionally, but they seem to show a LOT of wear. They are gonna look like absolute crap in about a year, but will still be perfectly functional. Warranty item? You make the call!

As crazy as this sounds, I actually always thought they were Worldpac dropshippers for a looong time. Then one day I placed a order from them, and RME never got my business again (well, I did order my trans mount from them since FCP only had OE).

They used to offer a price match ontop. I got my ABS module, wiper motor and I think maybe another highdollar item here or there pricematched. They dropped that. I guess it was a loss leader....

Amazon used to be great way way back in the day. Pricing was cheaper than retail. Then rate creep came and while their prices are the same as everyone else these days, they got me spoiled in the convenience delivery factor. I like shopping at FCP and don't want them to rate CREEP due to loss leaders like people sending in fluids.......
