6HP Transmission Flash

Hi guys,

I have been in contact with xHP founder Mr. Clemens Muehlbacher. I have asked him if he'd be able to develop a flash for our cars with the 6HP transmission, & offered my car for testing. They are currently focused on the 8 speed platform but are willing to take the opportunity to develop software for the E53 platform, when they have some open time (mid January as reported to me by Mr. Muehlbacher). Is anyone interested in a possible group buy? Im sure it will further motivate the team to develop a solution for our chassis. Their pricing also seems very competitive. Let me know!

Could you provide information for those not in the know - what problem(s) will it solve, how much are we talking about, what are the risks, is it reversible, are future updates/bug fixes free or is one on the hook to pay to receive them, etc. Provide all that information for one to be able to make a serious decision whether to go for this.

If you mean existing shift issues with your trans (faults) - none. In fact they advise you DON'T use this on a trans with existing issues....

Your questions would be answered best by xHP themselves. Im not affiliated with them. Their website is: xhpflashtool.com. I'll just summarize the product: backs-up original flash, 3 stages available (from $49-$89), requires an otg compaitable android device, free updates, requires "general flash file" $140 (could be less, not 100% sure), & a kdcan cable with a microusb adapter for the android. As of now, I am just scoping interest.
