Preparing for sale 2006 4.8is

It is time to move on from the 4.8is. I was recently leaving a stop sign and experienced a bang with severe transmission slipping. I have not investigated, only towed home and left it. Not sure what to list it for, will be as is and needs shipping. Here is my maintenance since owning.

122,158 miles, Feb. 2016 purchased
122,200 air filter
123,618 ccv’s, rear inner door handles, passenger side hood lock and Bowden cable, 5 watt 6000k halo led’s
124,241 carbon fiber t-case actuator gear, coolant temp sensor, oil and filter
128,628 oil and filter
130,200, Apr. 2017 front internal door handles, front door vapor barriers, new driver handle cover and hardware, water pump, all new coolant hoses, expansion tank and cap, coolant flush and fill
131,300, Jul. 2017 Lemforder 20 piece front and rear suspension refresh, Felix subframe bushings, new wheels and tires Conti dws06 in stock sizing on Rohana Rc26 20x10 & 20x11, pad slapped with Meyle semi metallic pads, new power steering reservoir and fluid, alignment
134,131, Jun. 2018 rear coolant cover replaced, trans flush and fill with new filter, gasket, and Redline D4 ATF, new drain and fill plugs, t-case flush and fill with BMW t-case fluid with drain and fill plugs, front and rear guibos, new exhaust gaskets, new center driveshaft support bearing
134,285 Elring valve stem seals, valve cover gaskets, URO coolant pipe, valley pan, coolant flush and fill with BMW coolant and water wetter
134,300 Dinan CAI
135,000 Sept. 2018 Left and right pre cat o2 sensors
135,430 10/20/18 transmission failure, no leaks, a bang and lots of slipping

I had considered parting it, but I am ready for a break from the e53. So, time to unload it...maybe eBay? I would likely list buy it now or best offer. Ideas on starting price? It is in good shape for 12 years. Two doors have a spot of rust on the bottom pinch welds. That is the only rust. Standard door dings for a 2006 car. Any thoughts?

Is $5k or best offer a good starting point?

You took care of well known expensive issues and have new front and rear suspension. So you only need tranny.
If you have receipts for all of your work, why not do a good detail and take some good quality pictures.
Then, wherever you advertise, somebody may realize that with new (rebuilt) tranny, they'd have a very nicely sorted out E53.
That's what I'd try to do first.
