Wrecked the X5

So last weekend, I was up at the cabin in Glacier (bottom of Mt. Baker Ski Area). Friday night/Saturday we had really heavy winds. Well around 230a my friends were coming back from getting food after a night of Partying at Grahams (local gathering spot) when a tree fell directly in front of them... WHAM!!! X5 and tree connected. Long story after that, but needless to say they didn't get back to the cabin (walking) till about 830a. I would have been highly upset, but it was my two closest friends in the world. So right now insurance has me driving an 06 Silverado, it is no X5, but I have zero complaints about the truck itself. Anyhow, here are the pics that Olson's autobody in Bellingham took... Enjoy ($5450 is the est.)

Wow... glad that everyone is okay. You know we have had a few accidents with member cars and (knock on wood) everyone has walked away. These X5s are built like tanks! It sucks not having her for a while, but it will feel like the day you picked her up all over again when the work is done.

Sorry about hearing (and seeing) your loss but I'm glad everyone was safe. I had a similar accident in a 328i - front grill, headlights, bumper, and hood were wasted. It came out of the body shop looking better than new. Hopefully your experience will be the same as mine.

Look on the bright side - it could be an opportunity for some mods. Maybe some carbon fiber roundels, angel eyes, a clear bra, something along those lines... I'm sure your X will appreciate it.

That's a bummer. But on the bright side, at least your friends came through safe, and the damage appears to be more cosmetic then structural. Should be an easy fix.

Cars can be replaced, not your friends. Glad to hear everyone's okay.
