My head unit display in the dash of my 2005 X5 E53 4.4i has a mind of its own when it wants to show. It can be running fine then sometimes when I start the car the display goes a white color or nothing at all. It might be like this for a few hours or a few days then suddenly it will appear all ok where I can see the menu and also nav when selected.
Anyone else have this issue? regards |

I don't have one of these displays but from memory, the video signals for the display itself are actually generated but the nav. system in the trunk (left rear) and are connected to the display by one of the two cables in the back of it. Maybe check the cables are connected properly (at both ends).
