Sorry, fixed that. From your understanding of the N62 pcv system, would it be normal for the intake manifold to have some oil film? At this point I'm just curious since I've decided I'm going to clean it anyhow having ordered new steel gasket and O ring for the sensor at the back of it. I'm replacing the throttle body seal too. Thanks.

The oil film is not normal. It’s from a malfunctioning CCV system.
The diaphragm in the valve cover isn’t sealing the system during high vacuum (open throttle) and it’s allowing oil to be sucked into the intake manifold. This causes exhaust smoke after idling.
