E53 lean bank 1 and 2

So I have an 02 E53 4.4

got gas... started running rough... ses light

at autoshit they got lean bank 1 and lean bank 2...

think it could maybe be the gas?? idle is rough sometimes but the kicker is the brakes go soft, so Im really thinking its a vacuum issue. But dont know where to begin looking. Tried the carb cleaner check and cant get it to pop up anywhere.

Im out of ideas...

Unplug your MAF and see if it runs better, if it does then there's your answer. (New MAF)

If no vacuum leak than lean usually means low fuel. Both banks means likely fuel delivery. The computer depends on fuel to be precise psi, it simply does math to determine how much fuel to m deliver. Low fuel pressure usually happens as the pump soft fails before it quits completely

Check the vacuum line between the Master Brake Boost Cylinder and the engine.

Could also be a bad Master brake Cylinder.
