New 2006 E53 Owner

Good morning

Kind of an introduction post here:

I am the new owner of a 2006 E53 3.0 V6 . 107K miles, 1 owner car-fax. I also have a 2008 E60. I am the previous owner of a 1998 E39 and 2001 E46.

Not much has been done to this car, so I ordered a new coolant system(i know from previous experience that anything over 100,000 miles and you are just taking a risk of it failing).

I also ordered new dash lights as the left side isn't as bright.

Today I was driving to work on the highway and the "engine fail safe" light came on along with my 4x4 light and brake(in orange) light. I checked the codes as soon as I got to my parking garage and found P1500 "idle-speed control valve stuck open".

I assume that I will have to replace that part, but is it possible to clean?
