Rogue Vacuum Hose?- N62/4.4

Hey gang, first post but wanted to say thanks for all the help I've found so far. I am working to get my 2006 back up to regular maintenance.

My question is - while trying to jostle out the upper radiator hose to replace it I bumped into this other hose and now I'm not sure where it came from to put it back. I believe it's a vacuum hose, but there doesn't seem to be anything near it that makes sense as to where it should go.

It's located right in the front of the engine and shares a clip with several plastic hoses that run up underneath the engine cover. I lose track of the other end when I try to follow it down into the engine. It's got a pretty deliberate kink to it.

Without the engine cover:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That’s a ventilation hose, nothing goes on that end of that one, you’re good to go

Awesome. I kind of thought that's what it was, but wasn't positive. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum by the way!

I lurked for a long time before I actually needed the collective brain of the outpost and I have to say in the years I’ve been on here that it’s a great group of folks!

Thanks. I've had it for a couple of months and with the weather turning finally am getting around to getting some stuff done. I thought most of the car forums had migrated to Facebook or faded away so I'm really excited to have found this place. I'll be back for sure.
