2003 x5 3.0 Problems

Hey guys, I just picked up this x5 from a guy that didn't want to fix it. getting codes p0174 system too lean bank 1, p0128 coolant thermostat below regulating temperature, and p0313 misfire detected with low fuel. I have not driven the car on the road yet, but seems to be stumbling slightly at idle. hooked up the computer and was getting no output from the maf sensor and being it was a reman unit anyways, I replaced it with a vdo new unit. still no reading from maf. I will be smoke testing it this weekend and trying to get it on the road as a car for my mother when she comes to visit. any help or insight will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, and welcome.

P0128 - replace the engine thermostat. And the water pump if you don't know its history.
P0174 - check and/or replace the air intake boot (the rubber thing on the throttle body)
P0313 - could be a failing fuel pump or a myriad of other things.

Thanks scott for the reply. I have a thermostat en route currently. I will pull the water pump to see its condition. I don't want to put too much money in this thing as I got it for 600 bucks haha but if it does need a water pump it will certainly get one. intake boot is good. my next step is to smoke test it this weekend and see how many vacuum lines are broken. still confused as to why I am not getting a maf reading
