Looking at the engine from the front is this on the left or right side of my v8 and how hard is it to change? I checked realoem and it says there are 4 (intake and exhaust for both sides?). If there are two on each side is it the upper or lower? Can find lots of info on earlier models but just cant locate much on my N62. cheers

The N62 has the double Vanos system. There’s two solenoids in each head. Here’s links with excellent info. Keep us posted on your repair process.

Great thanks! I did come across 2 of the links but the last two and especially the last is what I was after. So, is the number 2 on the right side or left side I wonder? I will probably end up replacing both sides.
