I think the real question is if they will become collectible one day...right now the market value on these is hitting rock bottom so it could be time to stock pile them if you had the space...
 If you don't work on them, they become very expensive really fast. I have done a lot of work last year, and now I have a new series of problem to address (radio died, paint is flaking on the hood and roof, Xenon headlight are totally oxidised, etc). It is really hard to justify spending more on the car than it's worth, but I am okay with it for now. I will most likely keep mine and keep maintaining it slowly over time, but I doubt that it would be my daily driver if I had to drive every day to work.
