If you have high cluster apparently there's a way to program OBC to show engine temp in cluster.

You can temperately show engine temp on the cluster using the hidden menu.
Apparently, I have ambient temperature and mileage pre-set on my "high"? cluster. I've pressed the B/C "board computer" a few times, but didn't see anything except "instant mileage" or something like that. I reset the trip button this morning, while still pressing the B/C stalk, and momentarily saw other messages flash on the display, but wasn't looking straight at it. I think I saw avg. mileage, instant mileage, and then back to ambient temp.

Searching for info about getting a more accurate temperature reading, I found two sources for getting the message I want, by pressing the trip reset and B/C stalk (which I had accidentally discovered). One source led to an E46 forum https://www.e46fanatics.com/threads/...n-menu.239619/, and the other was https://www.youcanic.com/guide/access-bmw-hidden-menu.

I'm guessing that if I follow the procedures shown, I can access coolant temperature through it (it's listed on the procedure). This must be old hat to you guys, but I'm a rank amateur.

You can "program" the dash text display to any sub-set of BC data...

Pretty sure that engine coolant temp (KTMP) isn't available though. It's not on the MID as standard, at any rate.

It can be added with the Android interface.

But for now learn how to unlock the hidden menu.

After the menu is unlocked, will the turn signal end button cycle through the menu while driving?

It would be nice if it did.

What does the "check" system button or option really do? I've pressed mine a few times learning how to use the buttons. Every time is says all okay.
