Help diagnosing fob/lock/alarm issue

2003 3.0i Automatic, 225,000 miles

Symptoms: Fob does not lock or unlock front doors, or initialize alarm. Central locking button only locks/unlocks the back doors. Key in driver's door will lock/unlock the driver door, but not initialize alarm.

May be related (maybe not): Master window switch in driver door needs replaced. Works sometimes, sometimes doesn't. If I pull it out and mess with the wires, it will work. Interior lights don't illuminate when driver door open, but does with other doors.

Any ideas?

Possibly water damage in master door switch module - rather common.

The cemtral lock works through the driver door module. Eg. You can't lock or unlock at all with the module absent.

You can't set the alarm with any door open. Very likely that module is involved.

I guess I'll replace the driver side door lock module. Thank you both for the input.
