Insane Quote from BMW Dealership (Air Suspension+Help Needed)

Deleted. Rant is not helping anyone.

Tl;dr: Car is down, went to BMW for diagnosis - ended up not getting the codes + got an obscene quote pulled out of someone's a$$ for parts my car doesn't need. Car still down, help needed.

You need a scanner. You need it sooner than later. I suggest mixing a bottle of soap and water into a spray bottle, and spray all the hose connections when compressor is on. You have a leak. And leak killed your compressor most likely.

Thanks SlickGT1. I know, brother! Installing on a new laptop should have been my 1st step! That said, I assumed the same thing, found the leak- a bad connector and replaced it. There are no more leaks.
I am going to switch out the compressor today, if that doesn't fix it I think I am down to the control module.

In regards to the air suspension parts...just go to Arnott's website (https://www.arnottindustries.com/), select for your model/model year...and see if the prices for the parts cost less than buying them from BMW.

If they do, then installing or having them installed will be what you need to determine. The dealer will probably be the most expensive route and the cheapest will be to install them yourself (should be enough DIY videos on YouTube to get a good idea of what it entails).

Put original back in.

Is your issue that it doesn’t turn on now? In that case you will need a laptop. You need to erase error to get it to turn on again. Sometimes you will be lucky, but that shit is temp.

I put the original back in. It does turn on and has been throughout (not the issue). Car stays low with both compressors. I am sending it in to my Indi shop today. I usually have some spare time to play and can afford to try the elimination method first, especially when the parts are cheap and I have an idea of how to troubleshoot it, but I have done what I could here running blind.

Without specific knowledge and software, you really are going at it with a parts cannon.
