A tricky electrical gremlin - FZV module
Hi all
I had the 4.8is pretty well just sitting around while I got the parts in and did the work on the suspension. Between the suspension and few other bits and pieces the car was not driven for quite a few months and I didn't have the car on a charger. When I did the suspension, it meant the doors were all open whilst up on the hoist, inc the upper tailgate and that meant a dead battery when I was ready to drive home. No problem as I had the trusty charger so charged it up enough to get home. Got it home and charged it all up no problems and have been driving it. Since then I hadn't had cause to lock the car as my drives were all drop offs of eg my son at sports etc. My wife then drove it and went to the shop where the car locked and unlocked with the key. So here's the problem, now we cannot get the car to lock and unlock with the key or release the boot. Central locking is fine and all doors work correctly. I've repeatedly tried to reinitialize the key without success. I checked for codes and found that I have an error 0002 RAD Fault in power supply. Delving into the explanation in ISTA tells me that it is the FZV antenna in the rear, but checking the status of the ECU was fine. Key still will not pair. The key was regularly used prior and has a new battery at last Christmas. The key has been used for driving repeatedly since when I have to go places I can leave the car unlocked. I've noted that the CD changer is not able to be communicated with (present prior) and the only other thing I've done is remove the fuse (86 from memory) for the air suspension compressor. Do any of you radio guru's out there have any thoughts?
