Guibo service data
I need to replace my guibo and looked for a DYI & torque specs. I did not find it so here are the Bentley pages & when the parts come (guibo, nuts, bolts) and I do it I'll update what I find.

What made you decide you need to replace the guibo? Just curious. Vibration problems?

The front one has the beginnings of cracking. I don't want to let it harm the TC.

My 2006 X5 3.0i 6spMT with 133K miles...
I need to service my REAR CV joint soon (slight clanking from grease drying out). The last I did my 1998 528i with 155K miles, the REAR CV Joint just needed grease. The Giubo was still OK but I replaced it "while there". The CSB still had about 30K but I replaced it "while there". The X5 is about 1000 lbs heavier than the 5-series... Anyway, for those of you who replaced the Giubo, CSB...when did yours fail? If I ever replace the Giubo, I'd replace BOTH FRONT and REAR Giubos.

2006 4.8is
Something in my driveline was clanking when purchased at 90k miles. At 105000 miles replaced front/rear guibos, greased shaft splines, replaced csb, replaced centering sleeve on rear shaft (frozen solid on TC), and did nothing to the rear CV joint. Cured clanking in my case. Guibos showed signs of cracking, but not imminent failure.
