Need To Diagnose CAN Network Problem/Solved!

I am trying to diagnose a no crank situation with my 04. I have posted previously trying to track this down. I have a no communication with the DME. It seems as though diagnoses consists of unplugging misc modules on the network as process of elimination to find the issue with CAN network. Can anyone help me find a list of modules and where they might be located? This problem is driving me nuts and just want to get this thing running. Thanks for help.

There is a really good picture outline of the buses posted here somewhere. You will definetly need some good diagrams. If it's only the DME that you can't communicate with that narrows things down a bit. You might consider that the no communication is just a side affect of the no-crank problem and not the cause.

Thanks guys. This is definitely helpful. Now need to just locate the actual modules and see what happens. Will keep this post updated. Doing research, many people on misc. models in the 02-06 year range have had the same issue as me. The solutions have ranged from sync of dme/egs, to new keys to new DME. I need to be able to at least communicate with my DME before I do anything else.

Just in case check out your OBD2 connector as mine was cracked and would sometimes cause me to show NO connection to DME

I would definetly try another scan tool as well. Are there any other codes coming up, especially trans/drivetrain?

I would check the PT CAN since that is used to wake up a bunch of other modules.

These are the only codes coming . And I have used INPA and the Foxwell. Both with same results.
