Do the range rover 4 pot brembos fit the x5 e53
While playing with my x5 e53 today on the ramp I started to wonder if the range rover 2005 4.2 supercharged front brembo brake calipers are a straight swap just wondering if anyone else has had the same thoughts or done this already??

It has been covered before. I don't remember the particulars. There are a couple of threads on it though. Everything fits, but maybe the caliper brackets need modifying? There was some caveat to the swap I just forget what it was.

You would need custom caliper carriers to mount the Brembo calipers

Probably need the larger wheels too - 19" or 20". The smaller 17" and 18" might not have the clearance for the larger brakes.

What X5 do you have? If you don't have an 'is' version (4.6/4.8), the bigger brakes (2 pot only tho) are a bolt on and are a pretty nice improvement for base X5's for not much money.

Ahh I didint know the is had bigger calipers/brakes might have a look down that road then , i have a 2002 e53 4.4i sport with 22inch wheels so clearance wont be an issue ��, just like the look of the brembo calipers

Clearance shouldn’t be an issue if you use the 4.6is/4.8is brakes;but brembo fixed calipers are wider or thicker to accomodate the opposing pistons, which is why spacers are often used to give the wheels clearance.

Be sure to get the caliper carriers on all 4 corners.
