2005 e53 6-speed manual
Specs: -161k miles -jet black/truffle brown interior -pioneer aftermarket stereo with hifi setup -panoramic sunroof (fully functional) -heated seats -tow hitch with 4-pin trailer wiring -here's the VIN for all specs: 5UXFA13595LB09830 Maintenance in the last 2 months: -valve cover gasket and grommets -chain tensioner spring and washer -all pulleys and belts -water pump/coolant flush -vanos seals rebuild and feed line -oil fiter housing gasket -spark plugs -Mobil 1 0w40 european formula -power steering line and flush -air filter and intake boot -transmission and transfer case fluids -front control arms and tension struts -both front hub bearings (what a nightmare this was) -front brakes and rotors (zimmerman rotors with stoptech ceramic brakes) -both front windows plastic holder replacement (the fix for slow and stuck windows) -driver door handle carrier -cabin air filter -steering angle sensor repair kit (ebay seller from Germany) It runs great and is ready for a new home. As you see I have spent quite a bit and planned on keeping it for a while but then another pops up. I am looking to get $7500 for it. Please take into consideration the amount of work that was put into it. I can get more pics for interested parties. I am in the Chicagoland area. Thank you all. Interesting tactic. I can't speak for everybody, but in my opinion there's always interest at the right price. You have to figure out what you'll sell it for and go from there. Maybe you already have and are hoping to get a higher offer. If so, good luck.

Thank you for your input. I agree that it would be best to post a price but didn't want to offer it for sale and then end up giving someones hopes up if the other sale doesn't go through. If I know there are members that are interested I can complete the other purchase and officially post this one for sale. Thanks again.

the one thing that i dont see or i have missed are the Crankcase valve replacements, if this was a sport manual i would start high, and go from there but there are so many of these around here that every now and then a sport comes out selling on the cheap cause the owner has a SES and needs all 4 corner brakes changed...my friend beat me to one last Dec 2005 sport auto 112k, 4 wheels pads and rotors and mulitple misfires that a CVV change fixed....for 1400...yes thats right.

Automatics are a dime a dozen and can be had for dirt cheap nowadays but as you know the manuals are out there but in a much less quantity. There are a few listed around the country for a high dollar amount. I would like to buy the other one and list this one but don't want to be stuck with 2 vehicles or losing more money than I would like to. As you can see I have spent a good amount already and not sure if I am going to recover most of my money. I guess like you said, I can always ask a certain amount for it and go from there. I will update my listing. Thank you |

Manuals are in my opinion , in enthusiast territory, much more a manual sport.
One thing you got going though is your car looks good , with a truffle brown interior and a manual?even better, i would say put a price ,,,above $5k and go from there, let the market be your guide,,,,i would suggest holding off selling if you can since most people these days will be holding on to their money especially next couple of months... good luck |

Being stuck with 2 facelift E53 6-speeds is not really stuck at all. You will be able to sell one of them easily. But maybe not before you need to buy the new one...particularly in the middle of this pandemic.
BTW is the hitch OEM? Is the wiring OEM? The standard OEM hitch wiring was 7-pin You should move this to the classifieds section with a bunch of pictures. |

I purchased a Reese hitch with the 6k pound tow rating. The harness I purchased from etrailer.com. My mechanic/buddy and I installed them. I will post it to the classifieds once I decide if I will go forward with the purchase of the other one. Hard to tell with everything going on. Figured if there was interest then I will take a chance on it. Thank you |

Hey Rob Siegel (aka BMW's Roundel magazine Hack Mechanic) is selling his '04 sport package, 6-speed, slick-top E53 w/OEM tow package with 272k miles on Facebook. Anybody can find him.
