What Cheered You Up This Week?

In this gloomy times, any little thing that you used to take granted becomes so much more fun and exciting.

I took my Estoril Blue X5 out from storage this Tuesday and have been enjoying it every day while going to the grocery store, picking up to go food, and supervising construction work done at my work place.

I never thought supervising construction can be fun. But it gave me the chance to get out of the house and enjoy the rumble and thrust of my X5's V8.

Long live the iS M62, King of the urban jungle!

I realized last night that I am less than a week away from finally completing my bathroom renovation - that made me SUPER EXCITED!!

I got my tub set today have to connect the standup faucet and water lines and do some drywall work and I'm outta there!

BEST PART - my wife can't change her mind anymore - it's finished!!

I also finally... built the sub box for my E53 and am going to drop myself a nice 10" sub in there and a respectable amp.

I washed my X and got it ready to hit the road again as we head back to work tomorrow. I drove it for the first time in nearly a month and since the last thing I did to it was a full service, it was a joy to drive - it just purred.

Sure made me smile....

Found toilet paper at the local supermarket for a normal price. Had to drive the 30 odd miles it takes for us to go shopping in the X and returned with TP, paper towels and Kleenex for the first time in a month.
'Tis the simple things that make you happy.

Small projects completed cheer me up :-)

Finally found a few minutes, the tools and material needed to hang up my reels for hoses and cable. Long in coming and finally here. Making the work space just a little less cluttered.

One is a 9x17 original style 18, irrepairably bent but still looks good :-). The other (I am told) is a wheel from a small format Puch motorcycle or moped from somewhere in the '50s.

I think we have a WINNER here.

With gas price down (under $2.00/gal here about $.76/gal. goes for Taxes) it not that costly to drive a X these day. I filled up at the beginning of March and still have a full tanks right now.

Now THIS made me smile - drove to work this morning (no - that's not what made me smile...) and my recently repaired MID reached 100% pixel count! Yay!! (It had a single missing column after the repair)

Not going to question why the final missing column came right - just going to run with it!!

Was is hard or costly? Did you use MDF or wood plank?
I'm debating on moving my aftermarket sub box from trunk to side compartment but worry the sound just won't be as good as external box since the compartment box needs a specialized shallow sub.

How did you get that "test" display on your MID? I've seen lots of ppl show it after a LCD replacement or cable repair but not sure how a person bring it up. Thanks
