Shift Knob

I made a thread about this a while ago, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere, so I guess I’ll start another.

I would like to get a different style of shifter knob on the 3.0, with an automatic trans. Only issue I’m coming across is, that all the “performance” looking ones, are threaded which would only work for a manual (I presume). Also, I’m not looking for the next generation conversion, that’s too far out of my price range at the moment.

So, is there an adapter that exists, which would allow me to put a threaded shifter knob on? Or would I have to get something of that sort custom/home made? Finally, do you know of any, more or less drop in replacements that look different? Looking for carbon fiber particularly, since I recently have been wrapping all my interior trim in carbon fiber vinyl.

Can’t open the website, it says too many redirects. I’ll try it on a computer.

Actually I got it now. But I’m a little iffy about that one because *cough* purists *cough* it’s not an ///M... I would definitely get this without the M logo if you can get it.

Plenty of options without the ///M logo... (complete with BMW mis-spelt!)

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000138870219.html

Even just the trim section in carbon...

I’ll take a look at that, but I’ve always been told it’s a good rule of thumb not to use Aliexpress or wish or anything like that if you want to get your products within the next 2 months and if you want it to look good. Might just be me though.

I have tried one of those ebay shifter when I needed to replace my worn out knob and the fitment wasn't very good - didn't felt like it would stay on there. Ultimately ended up with an OE titanium trim replacement. But your mileage may varies.
