4.8is rear wheel flares
My 4.8is is missing the 4 fender flares on the rear. The eBay ones I just got are completely unusable garbage. Does anyone have a source for the rear flares without having to buy an entire rear bumper or have any for sale?

Is what you got from eBay the fiberglass ones? If not, I have a full set of rear fiberglass ones that I have not looked too closely at yet...I was going to hit them with satin trim paint before slapping them on. IF mine sound like what you have, best options are to wait for part out, keep an eye on eBay AND visit the post (easy search on xOutpost) that confirms ALL variants of running boards/fender flare combinations. If you go OEM and buy from wrong setup - you値l have gaps that nobody wants to see! Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That sucks. I値l dig out what I have later this week to take a good look at ad let you know. If you just need those two lower rear pieces...I ordered a brand new right side from FCP for $138 two months ago and a brand new right side from eBay ($156 w/ shipping from Latvia) that I am waiting 6wks now for delivery on. I could not find the pair for under $250 VERY WELL USED! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Factory is the way to go but get your wallet out. New ones from ECS Tuning are $377 ea and that does not include the lower flares that connect to the bumper. I got those from the dealer at $250 ea. Cost of a donor 4.8iS bumper was $500 shipped and repaint of the donor bumper $600.
I have over $2K in mine to do the rear with factory parts. The front flares were another $750 with rivets added to the $500 donor front bumper with paint. All in all, around $3.5K for factory 4.8iS bumpers and flaring.

I hear ya bagpype. It takes an insane fanatic to put half the value of the vehicle into cosmetic flares and bumpers. Call me crazy but I still smile every time I turn around and look back at her.

can't you just order the OE parts new from a dealer or ECS Tuning or FCP Euro or Schmeidmann?

They are very very expensive. For all 4 from the dealer would be near $1000.
