After market rear camera and screen

Has anyone installed an aftermarket rear camera and monitor on the X5 E 53? I am thinking about buying one But I am interested in any recommendations. I do not have the GPS radio so I would need to install both camera and monitor.

On my car I put in a fresnel lens that lets me see the car behind me and it works ok but depends on the sun. I'm so used to looking at the top of my rear window to see however that I'm wanting to upgrade to a camera and display system but just planning to put the display at the top of the rear window where I'm used to looking at the fresnel lens. Powered from the backup lamp so automatic on when in reverse.

I bought a project e53 about a year ago (overheated). It had a tired, cheap android head unit and a cheap non-functioning rear camera. I replaced both head unit (with an Xtrons Android) and replaced the rear camera from amazon. ...both work well. Camera is mounted in a hole drilled in the trim piece in the hatch that holds the license plate light. It needed to be angled a little bit, but not a bad location.

I installed a Backup camera and a rearview mirror with a built-in monitor for the Honda Fit that we gave to our daughter for her 16th birthday.
