ISO of 4.6iS or 4.8iS near ATL
New here, however not new to bmw's in general (have an E39 as well). Was wondering if anyone close to the ATL area had a 4.6iS or 4.8iS for sale? Looking for a well maintained example with less than 150k. I know these rigs are rare, but figured I would throw it out there. Thanks in advance! |

Funny, I didn't see this until today. You texted me about the one I have for sale in Washington.

Yep, shipping is killer; which is why I am looking closer. Otherwise, yours was very well represented!

Yeah, it sucks. I wish there was a cheaper alternative. Thanks!

I've shipped several cars to me. I've learned the good stuff is rarely near me. In all fairness, I did buy a 2002 imola on alcantara 4.6is on buford hwy some years ago. Got lucky

Would your shipping be more than a cheap airline ticket, even a r/t ditching the 2nd flight.....?

Just looked and a one way ATL-SEA is $353 if you go after July 4th.
Hope that helps get you into a good e53! Sent from my SM-A730F using Tapatalk

Appreciate ya'll. Given he current situation, the wife wont let me go on a flight and run the risk of getting ill and possibly passing it onto to our little ones. I did find one locally (see below). Receipt of timing guides, chains and vanos complete as well as a host of other items from the PO. Is this really the going rate for these rigs now? I was expecting anywhere from the 5-8k range (depending on miles, condition and maint, of course).
Called the guy and he wouldnt budge at all from that price. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ckType=listing |

Looks like a decent example. The timing system work is why that one is $10k. In 5 or so years though $10k might seem like a bargain if the 4.8 and 4.6 start hitting enthusiast status like the 540i e39 and other "special" models have.
