Electrical Gremlin n Modules

I'm back. this time, the door carrier isn't engaging release, it seems to be broken again; cheap junk.
But, after removing the window switch module I have wonky issue.
All the windows went down n doors unlocked with the key fob. NOW, the drivers door doesn't work; no window down, no unlock. The two rear windows no longer go down. And the window switch module isn't working at all from inside. What is the number one cause / module of electrical malfunction in an X this old. All my modules are original. I disconnected the battery. Hopefully that resets the system.

So you replaced the door carrier and now you have the issues?? Does using the key in the lock cylinder work? Thinking faulty modules right off the hop will throw you off track.

I should clarify. I replaced the cheap door carrier about a month ago. Yesterday it was not completely engaging to unlock, so I rolled the windows down with the key fob. Released the inner door handle and began to remove the door panel/components. Airbag, window switch etc. I hooked the w.switch back up, the back windows could be rolled down with the key fob, went to roll them up and nothing. The inside w.switch isn't working. The out side door key lock manual only unlocks the drivers door. The key fob isn't working with the drivers door at all , or rolling down the driver door, just the passenger. W.switch will not roll up the passenger window, but the passenger window can be up with it's own switch.
I checked the fuses, but will check again tomorrow. I have to get the rear windows up. Sunroof works fine. It all happened after I took the door panel/airbag out to check the broken DHC.

Assuming you were working on the drivers door, check your harness connections on the master window control module. That is all I can think that would cause window control and locking issues from the work you performed.

It works, Why?

OK, so I cleaned the contact points on the w.switch. Disconnected the battery. Continuity check on all fuses, then reconnected battery, volts checked on every fuse in the X. Then, tapped the w.switch and voila windows up n down. Key fob lock/unlock all doors. Manual lock works all doors. Is there anyway to test a w.switch? I know they go bad, this is a used one from ebay about a year ago. I'm going to do the s.steel fab on the DHC so it wont' break again. Time to sell this beast, need better dependability.

So I am CURRENTLY having a similar issue on mine. Unless I have the window lock engaged on my master switch, the rear right passenger window will always roll down with key on. The front window switches run on LIN I think, which is causing this issue. I made sure to check the rear passenger window switch and clean it. But I haven't cleaned the master window switch.
