Brake pad bedding-in location ideas?...

I'm planning on installing the Axxis Deluxe brake pads soon - my summer wheels are so clean I just can't bear the thought of putting them back on before I do this! Anyhow, I'm having trouble finding a location to bed them in properly - you know, the Zeckhausen way - about eight 60 to 10 mph real hard braking passes... So, for those of you who have already done this, can you describe the place you found? I know that during the runs, it would be best to never come to a complete stop, and I'm sure you're not supposed to waste too much time between runs either as the rotors need to keep building up temperature. So about how much of a distance does this require? I live up on the north shore of MA near rt. 128 for those of you who know the area. I was thinking of heading up close to Gloucester (pronoucned "Glaw-ster") and then making the bed-in runs on the way back down 128 - probably very early some Saturday or Sunday morning. And one more question - does the bedding in need to occur immediately after installation? Or can I install them on Monday, drive for the week, and then bed them in on the weekend? Any advice, location ideas, experiences you can share will be much appreciated! TIA everyone! BTW - my X is an '04 4.4i - whom I love dearly!!!

I tried as best I could to follow that instruction but it's impossible to follow it to the letter. I'm no expert but I think it's best to do the bedding immediately or ASAP rather than a week later. I had to wake up early on a Sunday morning and find a fairly empty stretch or road to do this. It's hard when you live in the city.

Good luck! You love the almost dustless Axxis.
