CV joint not available for EC version E53?

Hi all! Have not been in this forum for quite a while. Wish everyone of you stays healthy in such pandemic.

My E53 X5 is an EC version RHD car. Last week the front right CV joint boot was broken and I felt vibration when turning to left, also felt slightly push every time I slowly stop the car (when the car almost stops). I had my car check by BMW service center and they told me that the CV joint was failed and needed to renew the whole front right output shaft. I checked ETK and found that there was a part called CV joint outer with part number 31607586433 in USA version E53 available but not available in EC version. My question is can I purchase the CV joint only available for USA version for my EC RHD version E53? If it is workable, I can save lot of money for the 16-year-old truck. Thanks for help!

In the states we can get complete GKN half shaft (output shaft) for approx same money as just the CV joints. Replacing the whole shaft is usually the way to go.

GKN is listed as the OE supplier per FCP

Yes, but I checked in the internet, the whole shaft costs around 250USD (GKN) and the CV joint costs only 80USD (Meyle), so it still saves a lot of money if I can just replace the joint, and as I am in HK, the shipping cost is also a lot cheaper for just the joint. So can I just buy the joint instead of the whole shaft for my EC version?

Front drive shafts should be the same on all E53's except the very early pre 4/2000 versions. So I don't see why that wouldn't fit. Interesting to know as I always thought BMW doesn't offer these joints separately.
