If your caliper is stuck and pads are dragging, you should see blue rotors from heat of the dragging brakes.
You should be able to spin the wheels in the air. Excessive brake dust can be normal depending on the pads used.

Brake Question
They only float a couple 0.001 off the rotor when spinning.
A stuck caliper will wear the crap out of the pad/s affected.

Make sure to remove quide pins using 7mm hex and spray LOTS of brake cleaner in there to clean out the goop that COULD be in there. Then use a light coating of AGS (Napa) Syl-Glide before reinstall.

When was the last time you flushed the brake fluid out?

Sounds like air got in the system some how. I would bleed them again. Are you100% sure there is no leaks?

Spongy = air. How immaterial.
If not in the abs block you can use pressure bleeder. You said caliper stuck, if the un-sticking process damaged a seal you'll be looking at new/refurbished calipers. If no leaks just need to bleed.
