DINAN Badge

I am waiting for my DINAN S2 Plaque and deck lid badge to arrive. Does anyone know the "proper" mounting location for the under hood plaque and know where I can get the template for the deck lid badge?

Looks like most e53's are running it on the left side of deck lid. When we did our e39, they sent the templates with the badges.

As far as under the hood, I've seen them all over the place. Installers/owners choice, I suppose?

If your decklid badge doesn't come with a template let me know. I'll put tape on around the badge with measurements on it.

Nothing direct yet. I still need to plastidip mine black like all my other emblems.

Here's what I did to help me align the x5 badge before I removed and dipped them.

I know. I haven't done the Dinan badge side yet so don't have a direct shot of it. Was just illustrating what I do to realign badges after removal. If your badges don't come with a template I'll tape it up, Mark it, and take a shot. Thank you for the compliment. It's one of my favorite BMW's I've owned thus far. And the only one I don't think I'd ever sell.

That's nice. The previous owner of mine decided to spend $5 on a can on plastidip to do EXACTLY what you're doing now VS doing actual responsible maintenance of the suspension, engine, brakes, transmission, and suspension work.
