4x4 light on. 5F0E code. Steering angle sensor or Yaw Sensor?

As the title states, I have the 4x4 light on and nothing else. So I hooked up ISTA and see code "5F0E DSC: Adjustment, steering angle sensor". Went through the software and calibrated the sensor. Software at the end of procedure says successful, clearing fault code. I immediately read codes again and it shows up again, along with the 4x4 light again. Tried a couple of times.

So after reading this and other forums, I came across people also talking about the "Yaw Sensor". So should the steering angle sensor or yaw sensor be replaced?

Did you actually verify the whole throw of the SAS? INPA is really good about looking at this module with all the readings. I like to jack up the front axle and turn the steering wheel lock to lock. You don't need to have the car running because there is no load on the front axle.

No. I just slightly turned the wheel both directions and things seemed okay. I will hook it up again and try the full movement range.

This is inadequate! The data needs to be verified for logical values. You need to verify the FULL throw as the SAS module has a physical brush along a track.

When T/S my SAS module, this is exactly how I was able to condemn it being bad. I then later uninstalled it from my car and took it apart to discover barley 1 bristle was making contact to the resistive track. Quite fascinating I think...

Hooked/jacked the car back up. All values are okay, even after complete movement from left to right. 4x4 light still on with the same 5F0E code

Okay. You need to be more descriptive in your answer as there is too much ambiguity. You will get values if any of the brushes are making intermittent connection on your SAS module.

What are your values? You can either do degrees or I think some other value type.

Can you move all the way left and then right and then get "0" degrees when the steering wheel is PERFECTLY centered?

What andrewwynn is referring to is a good working order SAS module in his response to you.
