Facelift E53 Headlight Adjustment

Hey,

So i installed my new, but used, euro version clear corner headlights. Looks awesome. But I noticed the passenger side light alignment is off, almost looks like its pointing the beam off to the side and not as straight as the driver side light.

Is there a way i can adjust the beam? or is there something wrong with my passenger side headlight?

Haloge, bi-xenon or adaptive? Is the bulb seated correctly? Does the aim motor work (initialisation seen when lights turned on)?

they are original hella's. just the version from Europe. So its whatever these original headlights were equipped with. The seller from Poland assured me they are left hand drive lights. How can i confirm that they are? and if they aren't LHD lights, what does that mean for me, anyway to convert them to LHD?

I made sure to find an adaptive version to keep it as original as possible. it does move when i start the car, but the passenger light moves out of sync with the driver side light. its about half a second slower then the driver side one. that's another concern I have. im pretty sure its bi-xenon because I had to swap the module attached to the bottom of the headlights from my old headlights.

So I found out that it doesn't matter if the headlights are made for left hand drive or right hand drive cars.

There are 2 plastic screws located at the top of the lighting housing. one is to adjust the light left and right and the other is to adjust it up and down. it was very simple to do. took care of everything i had concerns about.

It certainly DOES matter - the BMW part numbers for LHD and RHD headlights are different for a start...

The difference is in the cut-off pattern on low-beam. LHD has a kick up on the right, while RHD has a kick up on the left.

But I'm glad you have sorted your alignment.

The point will be driven home when he notices he's starting to get flashed at night. It's actually a hazard and an observant traffic enforcer would have a reason to flag down the vehicle.
