Possible Mod...?

I'm wondering if the Mercedes flip backup camera can be used more or less as designed but under the hatch roundel?

New USA price is $511, but pick-n-pull who knows? Also not sure about connectors.....

Really interesting idea!

Browsing Aliexpress I can see VW based versions selling for around $100AUD, my only concern would be the dimensions of the badges and the mounting depth required

I'm sure some sheetmetal work would be required, but maybe the mechanism can just open the roundel away from the base. If not then the whole mount/roundel would have to be hinged with the motor behind the sheetmetal and under the interior trim

Interesting. Can you post a picture of one? Or link? My plans are to buy one to replace the license plate light assembly. A light and camera combo.
