New source for Genuine BMW parts?
I have no affiliation here. I found these guys when I recently bought a Genuine BMW part on Amazon. On Amazon, the seller name is listed as BMW of San Francisco. The street address matches, etc. But in the paperwork, they also list ... https://www.bmwpartswarehouse.com/ Appears fully legit. Genuine BMW products. Looks like a standard BMW dealer website. Reasonable, but slightly better pricing than everyone else. Most online BMW dealers sell for about 20% off the BMW MSRP. This site sells for 30% off based on a couple of tests I tried. They do charge what appears to be a reasonable price for shipping. Not free like other sites often have. I'm in CA so sales tax is collected; not sure what happens for out of state purchases. Maybe this is nothing new, but I had not seen it until recently. It will definitely be my first place to check for the rare occasions when I need Genuine BMW parts. ---- OEM vs. Genuine ??? (they are not the same) https://www.pelicanparts.com/support/OEM_FAQ.htm https://www.fcpeuro.com/page/oe-academy

Yeah...fair enough...I have also bought a few Genuine BMW parts from them through Amazon. They often had the best prices.

The pricing is good, but the shipping cost is not so great. They want $15 to ship to Menlo Park for a fender access cover that could be mailed. If they are located in SF, that's $15 to ship 20 miles.

I know shipping, tax, time will mean this is not the choice for every part for everyone.
As a test, I put in an aux fan since I replaced that recently and was roughly aware of pricing (TYC is what I used, so not from here). The aux fan 64-54-6-921-381 shows $469.38 with $13.93 shipping. The $470 is about 10% less than anyone else for a Genuine BMW fan. I'm a couple of miles closer to SF than you though. Maybe ~$15 is some sort of ~minimum shipping cost. ![]() The thing I did buy was an evap purge valve that had free shipping, but I bought it through Amazon, not their website.

there are a number of Dealerships that operate discount parts sites that you otherwise wouldn't know are dealership sites unless you dig in a bit. I ordered from a site a couple of years ago that I had no idea was actually BMW of Silver Springs, MD. Those guys are super legit and EXTREMELY helpful with orders etc. At Hendrick here in Charlotte, you pretty much have to beg for a discount on their parts which are already typically 50%+ above retail. Seriously...I'm talking about a part that's like $25 at FCP for aftermarket, $60 for genuine, it'll be $150 at Hendrick, and then they MAY knock off 10%. Sometimes I just call to ask and try to guess how MUCH higher they will be than everyone else, lol!
At Silver Springs that part would probably be $85 or something like that. Totally random and generic example but the point remains. It's actually a GREAT thing to have a dealership to lean on if you can find one that gives a rat's about the enthusiast crowd.
