The DMV will use the door sill plate for emissions testing. Registration too. Either a manufacturing delay or paperwork caused the mismatch.

In german we call it "Montagsauto", this is an often used expression.

Build lookup shows that my 3.0d was born on the 17th February 2005, which was a thursday, lucky me !

Sister to my car, which was made only 2 (work) days later.

Does anyone have a car made on a Saturday or Sunday?

Mine was born on a Tuesday and *looks around worryingly* is usually well behaved. Though fighting the EHCII for awhile was a bit of an exercise in futility.

Seems like most of the cars are rolling off the Spartanburg assembly line on a Thursday? I just checked mine and both the X5 and Z4MC are "born" on a Thursday!

I also just found out that I have a "Cop Control" option on my car
