Black trim - Exoform
A new FCP door latch mechanism arrived yesterday. Today, I installed it. It was a nice day for detailing the black trim. Exoforma was applied with a cotton shirt. It can quickly be wiped off paint. It really doesn't stick to it. It sticks to plastic trim. Here are a few photos. I didn't think of taking a few before and after. The kidney grill came out very nice. I didn't remove the hood intake pieces. I'll do those some other time. I had to find a power steering hose leak. One hose had a loose clamp. The hoses are old and brittle. I'll add them to my list for replacing.
The driver side latch broke at its weakest point. I lubed all the moving points with lithium grease. Since this was my first time removing a latch, it was not bad. I did manage to break the outer door handle pivot point. The two little plastic studs that lock the forward pull handle into the latch. I'll look for another door handle.

Send pic of the broken handle. I think I may have repaired that same break with parts on hand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

The door handle studs that broke go here. The little pivots lock the forward part into the door latch.
